Bluestone Estate hosts gatherings the way it hosts everything: privately. A board meeting, a milestone dinner, one of the few weddings we host each year, with the coast outside the glass and a residence to stay in afterwards.
Bluestone hosts small private gatherings at the Cookhouse, seating 12 to 18. Larger celebrations are considered case by case; please enquire and we will confirm in writing what is possible. Every gathering is arranged with our team, priced on application, and confirmed in writing before anything is booked.
Corporate
Escape the boardroom and get the thinking flowing. Two properties, two ways to work: the Cookhouse at Bluestone Ridge for a day around the table with the Gulf outside the glass, or Bluestone Main Estate for a leadership team in residence. Both an hour from Auckland by road or twenty minutes by helicopter.
Whether you are ideating, strategising, or hosting clients, the Cookhouse gives a leadership team what a city boardroom cannot: a single oak table, glass on three sides, and nobody to overhear. A projector and screen, Starlink, and breakout spaces all around it: the lower deck, the lawn, the pool terrace, the Farmhouse lounge. Stay in the Farmhouse and a day's work becomes an evening and a night, with a private chef cooking dinner in front of you. In the low season, from May to October, the Cookhouse is available on its own for the day.
Book the whole of Bluestone Main Estate and a board or an executive team has the run of it. The Main House holds the plenary: the long table and the living rooms around the bluestone fireplace, with a high-tech office for anyone who needs to step out and work, and fibre broadband throughout. The Boat House, a few steps up the lawn, is the second room: a conference table for twelve with a flat-screen for presentations, and a door of its own for the sub-committee, the one-to-ones, or the team that wants to stay up late. Breakout spaces are everywhere: the terrace, the pool deck, the lawn, the bush walks. Eight bedrooms across the Main House, the Boat House, and the Studio for eighteen.
Meals are the other half of it. A private chef cooks farm-to-table dinners at the long table, or local catering teams take the whole rhythm of the day, breakfast to dinner. After dinner the team gathers around the fireplace or the firepit under the southern sky, and the next morning there is the pool, the tennis court, the gym, and eight e-bikes before the first session.
Small by design. A leadership team of up to eighteen arrives on Friday and leaves on Sunday with the thinking done: sessions at the Cookhouse or the Main House table in the mornings, the coast in the afternoons, and dinner together every night. Our team plans the weekend with you, from the agenda and the catering rhythm to breakout activities on and off the property, and is the single point of contact throughout.
Between sessions, the estate does the team-building: a tennis tournament on the full-size court, pétanque, a game of pool, a private wine tasting from the vineyards ten minutes away, or a guided day on the coast with our touring partner. Facilitators and speakers can be arranged, and the estate's owners, both with long careers at the top of global companies, are available for workshops and one-to-one coaching by arrangement. Invoiced to the company, with one host on site for arrivals and every changeover.
Celebrations
A significant birthday, an anniversary, a family reunion, the whole clan around the table for the first time in years. At the Cookhouse that means a lunch that runs into the evening or a dinner that runs late, a chef in the kitchen, and the Farmhouse beside it so nobody drives home. In summer the lower deck, the lawn games, and the pool carry the afternoon; in winter the oven glows and the Farmhouse fire does the rest.

Weddings
Bluestone Estate hosts only a few weddings each year, at Bluestone Ridge, and that is what makes them what they are. Each has the whole property to itself: vows on the lawn with the Hauraki Gulf behind you, a marquee for up to 120 at a seated dinner, the Farmhouse for the wedding party, and the days either side with the coast to yourselves. With so few, every wedding is planned from the ground up with our team, from the ceremony spot to the timings of the day.
The long lunch wedding. Our wedding package, built with two of the coast's best, a chef-led kitchen and an events team who have done this many times: vows and views over the Gulf, then a long lunch on the lawn that runs into the evening, with everything taken care of. All you have to do is choose your flowers, your celebrant, and your dress. Available for quoting very soon.
